About
Diane Tompkins
It took me decades to learn that the answers I was looking for weren’t outside of me or living in others. And that I didn’t have to play small or wait for permission to make an impact or create a life that is rooted in what is most precious to me.
The irony is that I learned this through the wise and loving support of teachers, mentors, and friends. I have done my deepest growth in relationship and believe we all need support as we come home to ourselves and become the full expression of who we are.
I bring my presence, a passion for inquiry and the breadth of my lived experience to every coaching relationship because I love supporting people who want to live an intentional, rich and meaningful life – however they define that.
My experience includes three decades as a strategist, facilitator and brand builder, as a qualitative researcher who’s spent hundreds of hours listening to people share what was important to them, and as a human-centered designer at The Curious Company. I’ve grown teams, co-founded and nurtured a company for nearly 25 years, cultivated enduring partnerships with beloved colleagues and co-creators, and built my own successful coaching practice. Each step has brought me closer to myself and a life I get to live on my terms, in ever-growing relationships with people I care about deeply and am inspired by daily.
I’m a graduate of the Authentic Leadership Program at Naropa University, trained and was certified as a Co-Active Coach through the Coaches Training Institute, am a long-time student of the Diamond Approach and avid explorer of the work of adrienne maree brown and Resmaa Menakem. I’m certified in the Leadership Circle Profile – an elegant and inspiring 360º assessment model.
I live in Marin County, California on unceded Coast Miwok territory with three generations of my family, including two teenage children, my husband and an enormous dog who barks at jet streams in the sky.
